For example, Amazon is great for selling books, but if you only build on Amazon you’re building on borrowed time. That’s because Amazon can change it’s rules whenever it wants and make it harder for you to reach readers.

Facebook did that only last year with it’s business pages.

You might be thinking, “but creating a social media account is easy. It’s hard to build a great looking website and keep it updated. I just want to write and tell stories.”
